Reconstruction of Eng. Federico Capurro bridge (city of Durazno)
It is a 120-meter-long submersible wooden bridge situated over the Yí River, connecting the city of Durazno with the town of Santa Bernardina. This bridge dates back to 1903 and, during its last 10 years, only motorcycles and bicycles were allowed to cross it due to its poor state of conservation. For this reason, the total dismantling of the bridge was proposed, rebuilding it with new hard wood, keeping the original structure because it is considered Historical Heritage of the Department of Durazno.
The wood for its reconstruction was imported from Paraguay, and the species acquired were: Quebracho colorado, Curupay and Urunday.
Role undertaken: Elaboration of the Executive Project of the bridge and management of the project building.
